Kumamoto water system

The tap water in Kumamoto is entirely from natural underground water. The underground water are naturally filtered as rainwater infiltrates under the soil. The underground reservoir would look like a basin. It has good quality as the underground soil are the erupted ashes from Mount Aso. The wells there were also form naturally. However, the water is getting lesser because the comsumption of rice decrease and people used less field for rice and instead use the land for other uses. The water used also increases.

This is how they get the water in Kumamoto.

This is the average amount of water used by the people in Kumamoto.

This is one of the water activities found in Water Science Museum.

One source of clean water in Singapore is NEWater. The used water is treated by the process of reverse osmosis. This clean process water is pumped back into the reservior.
